(United Kingdom) The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has granted Covington Aircraft EU Limited, the European division of U.S. based Covington Aircraft Engines, approval for expanded engine service work to support EASA registered aircraft and countries which have a bilateral agreement with EASA.

Located in the southwest of England near Wimborne, Dorset, Covington Aircraft EU Limited is certified by the United Kingdom’s Civil Aviation Authority as a Part 145 organization and is dedicated to heavy maintenance and power section work on the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A family of engines for customers in the United Kingdom, Middle East, and Africa. Covington Aircraft Engines is a factory Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A. With headquarters and North American Service Center in Oklahoma, a Service Center in Brazil, and Covington Aircraft EU Limited in the United Kingdom, the company has the ability to provide in-network warranty services, commercial support and new parts to customers worldwide. In addition, Covington Aircraft EU Limited serves as the European base for the company’s well-known Mobile Repair Teams which provide efficient and timely field service support across the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

“EASA certification is a major milestone for us” said Aaron Abbott, president of Covington Aircraft Engines. “Not only does it enhance the certified capabilities we are approved to provide our European customers – but, most important, it establishes even more well-deserved peace-of-mind for our customers around the world.”
