TECHNICAL INFO
For the Ag operator, the season is upon us. For the T6 owner, Oshkosh, and other airshows are just around the corner. Below are a few suggestions to be ready for either of the above.
  1. Valve adjustment: adjust at first 100 hrs. and again at mid-time
  2. Retorque cylinder base nuts every 100 hrs. Torque to 300in\lbs.
  3. Check mag timing every 100 hrs. Points should be checked prior to mag timing and should be gapped from .008 - .010. (Bosch)
  4. Change oil every 35 - 50 hrs.
  5. Check oil screen at every oil change. Be sure the poppet valve is in the engine before the reinstallation of the screen. Replace O-ring once a year.
  6. Check air filter, condition of air box and repair or replace as necessary.
  7. Check cylinders for cracks or leakage on a regular basis.
